stay away from the shoulder!
what up.
i turned off my computer on friday, and left it in the office over the weekend. i was freaking tired of staring at that thing, and when i feel a bit down, the computer does nothing but worsen how i feel. so i said peace out to ye ol compoot.
last week was strangely rough. i think i missed everyone, everything, you but not you more than i have in about 3 years. i seriously felt super lonely, for many reasons not limited to:
1) heaps of visitors have subsided
2) i am now in a routine so less is super way cool (i.e. "new") for me to throw myself into
3) I LOVE MY FAMILY AND WANT TO BE AROUND THEM BUT I AM NOT WHINING I KNOW "I CHOSE THIS" BUT I JUST LOVE THEM A LOT
4) amanda's bday celebration made me ache for a larege group of fun and solidarity as never before
5) my friends in texas. you are magical. you are lovely. i am so freaking lucky. and i miss you.
6) rudy mia, steph working, stacey work and new bf of loooooove
so instead of moaning for a week via phone or internet, i lounged in my apt and threw myself into solo-adventures for the first time in a loooong time
i.e. yesterday:
hiked a quarter of the way around san francisco. and oh my gosh. AWESOME. slept on 3 beaches. saw the san francisoc alligator lizard. walked under the golden gate bridge. it was a 6 hour trek and competely worth it. loooooved it. this city continues to baffle my mind. i am also super super sunburned on the left side of my body / right, slightly so - darn the sun setting in the west for 8 hours at a time
a gif interpretation of what i look like with my skin fried, more on left, less on right. its surprisingly accurate.
my text boxes proved to be gawdy and worthless, but the most important thing to note is all that green space next to where i walked!! argh so awesome
much less creepy in person
* * *
additionally:
1. so the americorps nonprofit credit union difficulttoexplainthing that i work for has decided (perhaps partially at my prompting? *strokes chin*) to call it quits for a while. so i get to help start another program for them. argh.
2. SWEET job is also experiencing budget cuts - thanks to city politics and budgetary concerns and the like. more soon. will - sd has no been put on hold again - more soon
3. i am afraid of three things in life: a) coooking when other people watch me/ for other people (minus roast), b) bathing suits, period and c) biking , period.
4. new housemate and living situation totally rock the house. the four of us really get along well - this is the first house (more than 2) where this has happened, and i loooove it. were seriously the house of dorks.
good luck on testes and finales and AAAAAL that. seriously i am thinking of you, and you wil be fine becuase you are all smart and you know it.
highly anticipated photos soon - miss youz.
